Annapurna Siklish Trekking
Siklis is the largest, oldest and beautiful village of gurung community. Lama-thar, Dharpang thar, Sabha -Thar, Harpu Thar and Gari thar are the five villages which surrounds sikles from all the sides. The cultural heritage and tradition over sikles is so amazing. We will have opportunity of getting knowledge of unique culture and tradition of these villages. Maximum people in this place live in the mud and stone houses. In our way we will be offered with unbelievable golden dawn mountain ranges of Annapurna region. The people in the villages of sikles trekking route are very friendly with hospitality nature. This behavior will be so impressive. Bijayapur Khola is the starting point of Sikles trek. Kalikasthan, Lamakhet, Ghale Gaun etc are some villages in the way. Our maximum route goes through forest which gives us the knowledge of many species of plants and animals. In our way we will be offered with unbelievable view of golden dawn mountain ranges of Annapurna region. We need to spend our one of the night in forest camp which will be the most interesting night. From Ghale Gaun we will drive back to pokhara and to Kathmandu which will be the ending point of our trek.
Sikles trekking is route is very easy. So this route is suitable for those trekkers who don’t have any experience in the land of forests. We can be refreshed from our boring daily work when we do this trek. March, April, May, September, October and November are the most favorable months to do trekking in the route of sikles. Detailed ItineraryDay 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), our representatives from Everest Trekking Routes Tour Operator (Rabin Gurung) will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.
Day 02:Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus it takes 6/7 hour by tourist bus, You will be enjoying the best views of Himalayas from the air. Well, Pokhara offers the magnificent views of Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, five peaks of Annapurna, and others. We can explore numerous lakes in Pokhara. We will stay overnight in guesthouse in Pokhara.
Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Bijayapur and Trek to Kalikasthan (1370m) A 30 minute drive to BijayapurKhola takes us to the starting point of the trek. Well, the route takes us through rice fields then ascends through Rakhigaon. The views around are Then the trail gently climbs along a ridge top through the Brahmin and Chhetri villages towards Kalikasthan.
Day 04: Trek from Kalikasthan to SiklishPhedi The route begins by passing through local villages and rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. En route, you cross Bhaise, Nawaldanda to reach SiklishPhedi, a small village surrounded by lush green hills. Tonight, we will be camping right beside the river where you can do your washing and cleaning.
Day 05: Trek from SiklishPhedi to Parche (1980m) The trail goes uphill all the way to Parche, which is our today’s destination, where you can enjoy the magnificent views of Annapurna II, and Lamjung Himal. The trail climbs again until we reach Siklis village. This is one of the oldest and largest Gurung villages. Stay overnight at teahouse or camp.
Day 06: Exploration Day at Parche Today will be the exploration day at Parche. And, we will hike downhill to Siklish, one of the largest Gurung settlements in this area. This will give you enough time to discover the unique Gurung culture and heritages. In the evening you will be entertained by local cultural program at your camp side after dinner.
Day 07: Trek from Parche to Tara Hilltop (3055m) Again the trail passes through forests of rhododendron going gradually uphill to Tara Hilltop. From Tara Hilltop, you will be seeing breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.
Day 08: Trek from Tara Hilltop to BhurjumgKhola and drive to Pokhara Today, after having breakfast with the panorama of mountains, we then descend down GhaleKharka, which also one of the largest Ghale settlements. We will be having lunch here and further trek down to BhurjumgKhola, which is going to be the end of our trek. We then drive half an hour to reach Pokhara. Here, we will have our trekking farewell dinner party with our Porters, Assistants and Guide.
Day 09: Fly/Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu Today, we will catch our early morning returning flight to Kathmandu. The flight takes about 35 minutes to reach Kathmandu. Or we can take a drive to Kathmandu which takes around 7-8 hours. At the remaining time, you can explore the Kathmandu city or you can go for shopping. In the evening, we will celebrate the farewell dinner with our trekking crew.
Day 10: Final Departure You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
