Manaslu Circuit Trek
One of the best trekking destinations in Nepal is Manaslu circuit trekking. This trekking route was officially opened since 1991. In this trekking route we will be offered with panoramic view of the 8th highest mountain of the world i.e. Manaslu with glittering ranges of some mountains. To complete trekking destination we need to pass several villages where we can see different types of people. Hinduism and Buddhism are the main religion which people follow in this region. The people in these villages are very friendly with hospitality nature. This behavior will be so impressive.
Our trekking to Manaslu circuit starts from Kathmandu. Most of our way passes through dense forest. In this forest we can many species of flora and fauna playing all around us which also main theme of doing this trekking. There are no hotel and lodges on most of the places so we need to spend our maximum nights in tented camp to high land of Himalayas. Our trekking to Manaslu circuit will obviously be enchanting as we need to move from low land to high land. After completing our destination we will again return back to Kathmandu which will end our trekking.
Most of the trekking destination of Manaslu circuit will be at high altitude. So we need to accumulate our self in different places which will protect us from the problem of high altitude. This trekking is quite challenging and a bit long trekking. Due to which we need to have better preparation a plenty holidays. January, February, March, April, May, October, November and December are the most favorable months to do trekking in the route of Manaslu circuit. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Arriving upon Tribhuvan International Airport you will be received by our representatives Adventure Mountain Guide and transferred to hotel for comfortable accommodation.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley
Today you will explore the UNESCO listed world heritage site in Kathmandu valley including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath, from where you will get the sense of cultural and historical glimpse of Nepal and traditional style architectural development of Nepalese people along with religious inheritance. All the day you will visit the other temple and historical settlement areas of Newari people. At evening before dinner you will make preparation and briefing to trekking and make sure of tomorrow fight.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Aarughat (950m.)
Today after breakfast you will take drive to Aarughat. On the way you will come across the beautiful places alongside the highway such as Naubise, Malekhu, Kurintaar, Mugling, and Dumre Bazaar until you reach to a historical place Gorkha Bazaar. After Gorkha Bazaar you will take short drive to Aarughat for overlookingernight stay.
Day 04: Trek from Aarughat to Sotikhola(750m.)
Today after breakfast you will star the trek walking towards the Budi Gandaki river through the narrow trail across the village houses and beautiful farming terraces until you reach to villages of Mordar and Simre and then to Arkhet. Then you will walk to Sotikhola for overnight stay
Day 05: Trek to Machha khola 930 m – 05 hrs.
From Soti khola village walk leads to a descend along the river bank passing several tea shops and coming across mule caravan on the way towards Machhakhola, This nice day walk leads to a suspension bridge over Nauli-Khola and to Khanigaon, then reaching at bridge over Machhakhola after the bridge on the uphill trail reaching at Machha Khola for overnight stop.This area popular for fishing this is why it’s called Machha khola meaning fishing stream.
Day 06: Trek to Jagat 1,410 m – 06 hrs.
After a nice morning journey continues to a small Khorla Beshi village and towards Tatopani with natural hot spring from here trek through Dovan and Yaruphant village, then following the Buri Gandaki River and over the bridge coming at a large village at Jagat for overnight stop.
Day 07: Trek to Dyang 1,800 m – 06 hrs.overlookingernightnight stop.
Day 08: Trek to Ghap 2,160 m – 04 hrs.
On leaving Dyang village a slow descend along the riverbank reaching at Bihi Bazaar, from this village onwards which is near to the Tibetan border, as one can observe a Tibetan influence traditions and culture on this area and beyond of upper Manaslu and Gorkha region, walking for few hours to overnight halt at Ghap village.
Day 09: Trek to Lho 3,180 m- 06 hrs
Morning trekking to cross Budhi Gandaki river and passing by few small settlements with terraced fields then reaching at Numrung village with superb views of Mt. Manaslu North Face with other tall peaks, then walking through several small villages like Banjham, Sho, then walking on the winding uphill for few hours through Shrip and then towards overnight atop at Lho Bazaar.
Day 10: Trek to Samagaon 3,530 m – 06 hrs.
As the walk progress reaching slowly towards higher Manaslu at Samaagoan and further to Larkya phedi, at first morning begins with a stunning sunrise views over the striking Mt. Manaslu with ample time to capture this awesome scenery, then heading towards Samagaon passing through rhododendron forest, as the walk leads higher terrain one can observe change in landscapes and sparse vegetation. Walking for few hours on debris of Phungen Glacier then finally reaching at Samagaon village for overnight stop.
Day 11: Rest day at Samagaon for short hikes and acclimatization.
A complete free day on this high area for acclimatization and short walk around this interesting village with Tibetan Buddhist religions and culture with old traditions
Day 12: Trek to Samdo 3,860 m / 12,660 ft -05 hrs.
After a wonderful time in Samagoan morning walk starts towards Samdo passing traders coming from Tibet with yaks laden with Tibetan and Chinese goods, walk continues following the stream to reach our overlookingernightnighternight stop at Samdo village from here it is close to the Tibetan border.
Day 13: Trek to Larkya phedi at Dharamsala 4,460 m- 04 hrs.
Today a short good walk to the base of Larkya-la at phedi starting the morning following the river coming from Gya La, from here there’s a trail on the right that leads to Tibet. Our adventure leads a straight reaching a small settlement at Larkya Bazaar then couple of hours walk from here leads to the overnight stop and for lunch at Dharamsala beneath bottom of Larkya pass.
Day 14: Crossing Larkya -la at 5,200 m / 17,060 ft and to Bimthang 3,720 m – 08 hrs
Strenuous climb and descend. Today the main high light of this wonderful adventure starting the long day with early morning walk by following a steep climb and towards four frozen glacial ponds walk continues to the top of Larkya La Pass at 5,200 m highest spot of this adventurous journey. Sometime the path here can be quite hard on snow condition while crossing moraines and glacier. But on a fine day when there is no snow walk will be moderate and adventurous traversing on this high altitude. The pass offers captivating panorama of Larke peak6, 249 m, Manaslu North 7,157 m and of Salpudanda Glacier the pass is festooned with Buddhist prayer flags, after a great moment here at the top descend towards a magnificent green valley surrounded by rhododendron and pine trees at Bhimthang for overnight stop after a vigorous 8 hours trek.
Day 15: Trek to Gho 2,560m – 05 hrs.
After breakfast on this beautiful spot trek leads crossing a glacier stream and with a climb over moraine then descending on pleasant path through meadows and forest of pine and rhododendron trees reaching at Gho for overnight stop, this small settlement surrounded by enchanting forest.
Day 16: Trek to Dharapani 1,860 m – 05 hrs.
A leisure day walk on the downhill trail to Dharapani passing the Tilche village by Marshyangdi River, around this area are the Manang people rich in Tibetan Buddhist traditions and culture. From this village walk is easier with short uphill climb to large village of Dharapani for overnight stop check into the lodge with opportunity for hot showers as this place is popular on the Annapurna circuit trekking route.
Day 17: Trek to Jagat 1,290 m – 05 hours.
Today the last day walk of this remarkable adventure offering pleasant trek on the gradual trail passing several nice villages of Tal Besi and Tal Karte and Sattale. This good walk descends to cross a suspension bridge over raging Marshyangdi River overlooking fabulous views of Annapurna Himalaya range of mountains, then walking through lush green forest following Marshyangdi River downstream with a gradual downhill walk to Jagat village for overnight stop this village also with a same name of Manaslu area.
Day 18: Drive to Kathmandu through Beshisahar – 08 hrs
Journey A last day in the Himalayan mid hills after breakfast drive on the dirt road for few hours passing through several farm villages and to the large town of Beshishar the headquarter of Lamjung district from here on the good road to Kathmandu with an interesting scenic drive then finally reaching at Kathmandu after completing this mesmerizing awesome with Adventure Mountain Guide Team .
Day 19: Final Departure international Flight
After a fantastic time in Nepal Himalaya and with great service and expert guidance of Adventure Great Himalaya as per the flight time our staff will transfer to international airport for the flight home or to respective destination (Breakfast).
