Ghorepani Poonhill TrekkingGhorepani Poonhill Trek - This journey to the Annapurna begins from Pokhara ,a popular destination with its famed Phewa Lake. The trek combines spectacular mountain scenery with incredible and cultural diversity and traverses through rural farms and villages. The trail leads towards the dense forest of rhododendrons and magnolia passing through rain forest and gorge between the massive green hills.

Once into the top of Ghorepani and at Pun Hill you will be in the midst of an Amphitheater of snow peaks, Annapurna (26,545ft-8,091m). Other major peaks overlooking the include the Annapurna South (23,693ft-7,219m), Gangapurna (24,457ft.-7,455m) and the Annapurna Dhaulagiri massif mountain range and as far towards east to Mt. Manaslu.

Our return journey, descends through the lush terraced Modi Khola valley and finally concluding the adventure back at Pokhara, a popular destination with its famed Phewa Lake, dominated by the towering mountain range of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu range including the majestic peak Machapuchere (Fish-Tail

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), our representatives from Adventure Mountain Guide Rabin Gurung will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and Trek Preparation Today day you visit main places of Kathmandu valley. In the morning you visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest Hindu temple, Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch you visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square, you visit Kumari temple, the temple of Living goddess. 

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara (823m) and Trek to Ulleri (2050m) 35 minutes flight and 6 hours trek Today, we will catch our early morning flight to Pokhara. You will be enjoying the best views of Himalayas from the air. Well, Pokhara offers the magnificent views of Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, five peaks of Annapurna, and others. We can explore numerous lakes in Pokhara. After taking rest for some time, we will drive to Nayapul and start trek. Passing through Tikhedhunga, we will finally reach at Ulleri for overnight stay.

Day 04: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750m) 5 hours We will make our ascent to the Ghorepani Village today. Well, Ghorepani is an interesting place with small shops and stalls for selling local crafts and products. Ghorepani village offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and NilgiriMountain. 

Day 05: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2700m) 7 hours We will make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill located at the altitude of 3200m. We will enjoy the magnificent splendor of sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill. This great viewpoint will allow you to witness and panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges and the closest views of more than 20 highest mountains. After enjoying the mountain views, we will return back to Ghorepani and then descend to Tadapani for overnight stay.

Day 06: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1950m) 4 hours From Tadapanitoday, we will make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest. And this part of the trek is through a thick forest of rhododendron. Trekking for about 4 hours, we will reach at Ghandruk which is a slope settlement with stone houses inhabited by Gurung people mostly. Village of Ghandruk offers few excellent views of mountains. We will stay overnight at Ghandruk.

Day 07: Trek from Ghandruk to Pokhara 4 hours After trekking Poon Hill and Ghandruk, we will trek back to Nayapul and then drive to Pokhara today. Our trek is downhill all the way to Birethanti and then we step onto a paved path curving in and out of the village and then terraced farmlands. We will stay overnight in guesthouse at Pokhara.

Day 08: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu Today, we will catch our early morning returning flight to Kathmandu. The flight takes about 35 minutes to reach Kathmandu. At the remaining time, you can explore the Kathmandu city or you can go for shopping. In the evening, we will celebrate the farewell dinner with our trekking crew.

Day 09: Final Departure We are Finaly good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
